MUSE: A Night Where Couture Became an Experience
Posted by Shanna Britta on Oct 29th 2025
The essence of couture is intimacy, artistry, and transformation; that is the world I have created for my clients at Shanna Britta.
On October 2nd, I hosted MUSE at the iconic 21C Museum Hotel, where my guests savored a four-course gourmet meal as couture creations moved through the gallery like living works of art. Surrounded by art installations on The Future is Female, the evening was designed to awaken every sense - taste, touch, sight, and sound. This is what couture means to me; not something distant or untouchable, but something deeply personal and profoundly luxurious.
Daughter of Autumn
The first collection, Daughter of Autumn, celebrated the warmth and texture of fall. It embraced the beauty of change with rich layers of vintage textiles, designer deadstock fabrics, and natural fibers. Earthy tones of orange, mustard, teal, and brown were accented with rustic leather corsets that contrasted against soft, cozy modal sweater knits. It was a love letter to the season - a reflection of nature’s beauty, texture, and timeless craftsmanship.
Chic Snowbird
The second collection, Chic Snowbird, carried guests into the allure of travel and leisure. Inspired by exotic destinations and the art of effortless luxury, this collection was designed for women who live beautifully between worlds - from sunlit terraces to seaside dinners. Flowing chiffon dresses with built-in corset bras offered comfort and elegance that could be slipped on with ease, creating a look that felt both relaxed and refined. My resort travel wardrobe packages are made for this lifestyle; pieces that layer seamlessly from swimwear to dinnerwear. A swimsuit paired with a chic skirt or palazzo pants allows a woman to move from poolside cocktails to an evening out without ever compromising style.
Forest of the Moon Queen
The third collection, Forest of the Moon Queen, embraced mystery and sensuality. As the palette deepened, it revealed luxurious blacks, silvers, deep reds, and rich velvets. Sculpted leather corsets and moody metallics gave the collection a dark allure that celebrated confidence and femininity. I love dressing women in a way that helps them feel powerful, sexy, and unapologetically themselves.
Queen of Masks
The final collection, Queen of Masks: The Winter Gala, was a vision of opulence and individuality. Hand-beaded gowns, a red foiled leather gown meticulously cut by hand, and a gold stingray corset with feathers and flowing white palazzo pants commanded attention. Each model wore a mask as a symbol of how women often hide their truest selves. Beneath every mask is a woman with strength, passion, and beauty waiting to be seen. Through couture, I help women embrace who they truly are and express that identity with confidence.
MUSE was more than a fashion event; it was an experience. I have always wanted to wine and dine my clients, allowing them to feel special and pampered in a multi-layered evening that combined gourmet cuisine, exclusive shopping, and personal styling. Guests enjoyed one-on-one design consultations and private fittings with me, a designer who truly loves helping women feel extraordinary.
At Shanna Britta, couture is not just about what you wear; it is about how you feel. It is confidence, elegance, and artistry brought to life through design. Every garment is made-to-order, designed to celebrate individuality, and crafted in partnership with skilled local artisans who bring each creation to life.
